Nissan unveiled the all-new compact SUV (B-SUV) named Magnite, the new Indian-made SUV is a very stylish crossover with a beautiful sleek vibrant design.
To stand out from its competitors, the front-end of the Magnite catches your attention with its new blacked-out grille showcasing the new Nissan Logo with silver surrounds, LED headlights and incorporated L-shaped Day Running Lights (DRL) on the side, plastic side cladding around the wheel arches and the side skirts with a higher ground clearance of 205 millimeters which gives the Magnite a more confident stance.
Interior and Tech
The interior of the new Nissan Magnite is nicely and ergonomically designed with best in class visibility and opening angle thanks to the high seating position, comfortable and sporty seats, spacious cargo space (336L) which can also be extended when the rear seats are folded.
The magnate comes also packed with a lot of modern and high-tech features such as an 8-inch infotainment display with full flush touchscreen, Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto with built-in voice recognition, steering wheel-mounted controls, wireless charger, air purifier, puddle lamps, ambient mood lighting, premium speakers –JBL powered by Harman and many more premium other features …
Powertrain & Performance
Powered by the all-new most fuel-efficient HRA0 1.0-litre Turbo engine mated to either a 5-speed Manual or an X-TRONIC CVT transmission. Nissan claims that this new engine adopts world-class sports cars technology such as the GT-R, so it should be very powerful and reliable.
Power figures are yet to be revealed.
Safety & Driver’s Aid
To ensure the safety of the driver and passengers the Nissan Magnite comes fitted with a lot of safety features and driver’s aid like:
- SRS dual airbags
- Vehicle Dynamics Control (VDC) for safe vehicle manoeuvring in tight corners and risk situations
- Hill Start Assist (HSA) for comfortable stop and go in slopes and hilly terrains
- Traction Control (TC) for best vehicle control in different terrains
- Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD)
- Anti-Roll bar for tight cornering at high speeds giving low body roll
Pricing
Prices are yet to be announced for the local market, but the Nissan Magnite is scheduled to arrive in south Africa early in 2021
