In this video, we review the 2025 Hyundai Alcazar 1.5D, which is the new replacement for the Hyundai Grand Creta. We take you through everything you need to know about this family SUV/MPV. From its exterior and interior features to comfort, performance, and ride quality, we break it all down in a practical, real-world context.

In a market where Chinese manufacturers are steadily gaining ground with diverse line-ups, competitive pricing, and feature-packed trims, established brands like Hyundai still need to find clever ways to make buyers think twice. The new Hyundai Alcazar, successor to the Grand Creta lands at a sweeter price point (from R599,900, that’s R20,600 less than before) with sharper styling, better fit and finish, and a killer diesel engine that steals the show. Highlights? A bold blacked-out grille, striking H-style LEDs, and a refined look that ties it all together. Plus, during my test, the diesel outperformed its claimed fuel figure, sipping just 5.7L/100km vs the official 5.9L.
