Named after the capital of Italy: Rome, the new mid-front-engine 2+ coupé (Type F169) Is based on the Ferrari Portofino, Features a mix of elegance, timeless design with marvelous performance and Handling of Italian engineering.
Exterior and Design
The design of the Ferrari Roma is inspired from the most legendary grand touring prancing horses of the early 1960s which had a sporty and elegance concept.
The Front of the Roma is sculpted from a single block of metal, creating an overhanging shark nose effect with perforated front grille to cool the engine, two linear full-LED headlights with horizontal light strip which gives the front of the car quite a distinctive look.
The Rear of the Roma is characterized by a slick and modern tail with a small rear screen. which features an incorporated active aero that deploys at high speed to increase downforce and preserve the car’s purity of form. The twin taillights are traversed by linear light strips that create a virtual look with a compact aerodynamic diffuser that includes the fences and the exhausts to complete the rear of the car.
Interior
The interior of the Roma features a combination of Elegance and luxury, Symmetrical interior with Dual cockpit (safety cells) designed for both form and function for the driver and passenger.
A new steering wheel designed using the “Eyes on the road, hands on the wheel” philosophy with all the car’s main commands actioned by haptic controls to keep the driver’s focus on the road.
An 8.4” user-friendly vertical screen is found in the middle of the cockpits, which incorporates the other infotainments and climate control functions.
The Roma also shares the driving experience with the passenger through the 8.8” color full HD and touch screen that displays the car’s performance and interacts with its on-board system.
Powertrain
Powered by the Award-winning International engine of the Year 3.9L V8 turbocharged engine, the Roma makes an output power of 456kW (620hp) at 7500 rpm matted to an Eight-speed dual-clutch Automatic transmission with 760 Nm of torque found in the SF90 Stradale.
The new mid-front-engine accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 320 Km/h.
Driving Tech
Designed and developed to deliver outstanding driving pleasure and comfort with a mass reduction and lower center of gravity, the best weight/power ratio in its segment (2.37 kg/cv). The Roma embraces the Slide Slip Control 6.0 concept which includes F1 Traction Control, Electronic-Differential, and Ferrari Dynamic Enhancer, and many other controls to improve the handling and make the driving experience more fun.
