The Suzuki Across will soon join the local lineup expanding the brand’s diverse SUV offering with its most technologically advanced model to date.
Expanding Suzuki’s SUV Lineup
The introduction of the Across represents another step in Suzuki’s expansion within the SUV market. With its mild-hybrid engine, multiple transmission options, and family-friendly practicality, the model is positioned to appeal to buyers seeking an efficient and versatile vehicle.
Powertrain
From launch, the Suzuki Across will be powered by a 1.5-litre four-cylinder ‘K15C’ mild-hybrid petrol engine across the entire range. The hybrid assistance technology is designed to improve efficiency while maintaining smooth performance.
Variants
The Suzuki Across will be offered in three different variants, giving buyers a choice between manual and automatic transmissions as well as varying levels of equipment.
The entry-level Across GL will be fitted with a five-speed manual transmission. This variant is aimed at drivers who prefer a traditional manual driving experience.
For customers looking for greater convenience, the Across GL will also be available with a six-speed automatic transmission.
At the top of the range sits the Across GLX, which will also be paired with a six-speed automatic gearbox.
Customers choosing the GLX model will also have the option of specifying a two-tone exterior finish. This styling package adds a contrasting roof colour to the vehicle’s design and is available at an additional cost of R4,500.
