The third-generation Tiguan comes refreshed with a sharper and more eye-catching exterior design, featuring a new redesigned front bumper, high tech headlights technology as well as several new premium tech features.
The interior receives a subtle upgrade, now featuring a new steering wheel with touch controls, new digital air conditioning controls, an upgraded sound system with the optional premium Harmon Kardon sound system.
The entry-level “Tiguan” comes fitted standard with LED Headlights, 17-inch alloy wheels, a leather-wrapped multi-function steering wheel with cruise control as well as a new MIB3 infotainment system with 8 speakers.
Just above the entry-level, a mid-spec “Tiguan Life” comes equipped with all the standard features from the entry-level, this time the Tiguan Life receives LED with cornering lights, automatic air-conditioning, front and rear park distance control, electric tailgate and rides on 18-inch Frankfurts alloy wheels, with optional 18-inch Nizza and 19-inch Victoria Falls.
And Topping-off the range is the “Tiguan R- Line” fitted with R-line exterior package, 19-inch alloy wheels with optional 20-inch alloy wheels, IQ Drive Package which includes (Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Assist, Park Assist and Autonomous Emergency Braking) and the Trailer Manoeuvring System with Park Assist included.
Now available in four derivatives, with the diesel derivatives to be available in the fourth quarter. Two petrol engines are currently available. An entry-level 1.4Litre TSI, with 110kW and 250Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed DSG transmission. As well as the range-topping/more powerful 2.0Litre TSI engine with 162kW and 350Nm of torque that comes mated to a 7-speed DSG transmission.
The diesel-powered Tiguan will join the line-up later with a 2.0Litre TDI engine, developing 130 kW and 380 Nm of torque, mated to a 7-speed DSG Transmission.
