To diversify the Tank 300’s portfolio, GWM South Africa has announced the expansion of a new 2WD variant of their popular off-roader SUV, Tank 300.
What’s new?
Well, you will be glad to know that besides the new 2WD system, nothing much has changed. The new 2WD Tank 300 is still powered by the same 2.4-litre turbo diesel engine producing 135 kW and 480 Nm, paired with a refined 9-speed automatic gearbox.
With a 3-tonne braked towing capacity, the 2WD model matches the pulling power of the 4WD versions, making it ideal for towing caravans, trailers, or boats. At the same time, with a fuel consumption of just 7.7 L/100 km.
It features an electronic rear axle differential lock, transparent chassis view, and off-road thermal management mode, making it capable on gravel and backroads despite being 2WD.
Bold Design and Colours
The Tank 300 Diesel 2WD maintains the same bold, square-shouldered design as the 4WD models, with a strong road presence and rugged character.
It is available in Mars Red, White, Grey, Orange, and Black.
