Through this partnership, we wish to strengthen the links between Suzuki, football, and Africa, while further establishing our presence on the continent. We will continue to support all those who love football by bringing them the joy of mobility and enriching their daily lives.”
The agreement underscores Suzuki’s mission to promote unity and mobility through sport, aligning with its longstanding philosophy of accessibility and community engagement.

Suzuki South Africa’s Growing Sporting Footprint
Suzuki Auto South Africa says it is proud to be part of this global collaboration, which mirrors the brand’s local commitment to supporting sport as a tool for empowerment and development.
Over the past two years, Suzuki has established a strong presence across multiple sporting codes in South Africa:
• In July 2025, Suzuki became the official vehicle partner and Premium Sleeve Partner of Orlando Pirates Football Club, one of South Africa’s most iconic teams, through a two-year agreement.
• In April 2025, Suzuki announced a multi-year partnership with Cricket South Africa, serving as the official vehicle partner for both the Proteas Men’s and Women’s ODI teams.
• In 2024, Suzuki became the naming sponsor of the Griqualand West Rugby Union, home of the Griquas, a rugby team with deep historical roots dating back to 1886.
• At the grassroots level, Suzuki supports the Humanitarian Empowerment Fund, a programme that trains and mentors young Rugby Sevens players in schools across Gauteng’s West Rand.
These initiatives reflect Suzuki’s belief in the power of sport to build community, inspire youth, and create social impact.
A Milestone Moment for African Football and Suzuki
Henno Havenga, General Manager of Sales and Marketing at Suzuki Auto South Africa, described the partnership as a major milestone in Suzuki’s growing connection with African sport:
“As Suzuki Auto South Africa, we are thrilled to see our global brand contributing to the growth of football across the continent. This partnership with CAF is a natural extension of our local initiatives, from football and cricket to rugby and grassroots programmes. Sport unites communities and creates opportunities, and we are proud to be part of that journey, celebrating the passion and spirit of African sport.”
Havenga added that Suzuki looks forward to the kick-off of the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco on 21 December 2025, wishing all participating teams success in the tournament.
Driving Forward Through Sport
By becoming an Official Global Partner of CAF, Suzuki continues to expand its role in supporting sport as a universal language of unity and hope. The brand’s growing footprint across football, cricket, and rugby reflects its dedication to empowering communities through shared experiences and mobility solutions.
As the continent prepares for AFCON 2025, Suzuki’s partnership with CAF marks another step forward in celebrating Africa’s sporting excellence both on and off the field while driving forward the values of teamwork, passion, and progress.
